POCT for Diagnostics

Author presents a description of a newly adapted military bio warfare test, that can now be  used to determine bacterial levels in fluidic samples.  Presentation includes the results of field testing on skin after various hand sanitation techniques and on surfaces after an orthopaedic operating theatre standard clean and annual deep clean.  Results of a pilot study comparing the new test methods against current microscopy and culture of urine samples.  Discussion on sampling and test methods available and recommendations on the use of each test method – where, when and how often?
